From Spaceweather.com: “sunspot AR1598 is crackling with solar flares. One of the explosions, an M9-flare on Oct. 20th, produced a bright flash of extreme UV radiation recorded by NASA’s Solar Dynamics Observatory. An M-5 class flare shot off today at 18:51 UT. Radiation from the October 20th flare sent a wave of ionization rippling through Earth’s upper atmosphere, temporarily disturbing the transmission of low-frequency radio signals around Europe and North America. The sunspot has also produced at least one bright CME but Earth was not in the line of fire. More flares could be in the offing. NOAA forecasters estimate a 60% chance of M-flares and a 5% chance of X-flares during the next 24 hours.”

It is now known that the Earth’s magnetic fields have a profound influence on our human nervous and immune systems. Scientists now know that the human brain contains “millions of tiny magnetic particles.” These particles connect us to the Earth’s magnetic field in a powerful way, sort of as a human antenna. Dr. Lim, TAO Grand Master of the Qi-Mag Institute, said “Solar flares, through their extreme magnetic effects, affect the central nervous system, brain activity and equilibrium (balance), our thought patterns, human behaviors, and mental-emotional-physical response. Therefore solar flares can influence humans and all living beings to be nervous, anxious, worrisome, jittery, dizzy, shaky, and for those who are super sensitive, irritable, lethargic, exhausted, short term memory loss, heart palpitations and headaches.”

The Carlini Institute also reports that “The interesting fact about this energy is that since it is of a higher frequency, it creates the power of instant manifestation of our thoughts, which means whatever we think, we create instantly. This never before happened in our lifetime and that is why many people are writing books on the subject of the Power of Attraction.” This is empowering information.

Thoughts create reality—therefore may all your thoughts be happy ones! And, speaking of the Law of Attraction, here’s a few words from the masters: “You have the power to evoke from life what you desire. But you cannot get to a new-and-improved situation by giving your attention to the current situation. The Universe, and all physical and Non-Physical players in it, is responding to the Vibrations that you are offering; and there is no distinction made between the Vibrations that you offer as you observe, and the Vibrations that you offer as you imagine… . If you will simply imagine your life as you want it to be, all cooperative components will be summoned. And even more important, all components that are summoned will cooperate. It is Law. The experience that you have with others is about what you evoke from them.” —- Abraham Hicks

Harvest Full Moon

Harvest Full Moon blessings! The full moon 9/29/2012 at 9:19 pm MDT is at 7 Aries. It’s called the harvest full moon because it is the full moon occurring nearest to the equinox. This full moon illuminates the Uranus square Pluto, so it’s packed with transformational energy. All full moon’s bring a culmination or illumination so that we can see more clearly how things are flowing in our lives.

With the Moon conjunct full-of-surprises Uranus, anticipate lightening quick developments and an exhilarating roller coaster ride. With Uranus, if there’s a backlog of energy, the dam is ready to give. You don’t need to wait until tomorrow to start fresh—this full moon offers the opportunity for a clean slate.

The lovers, Venus and Mars are also involved and connected to the moon’s nodes. This gives a strong relationship focus to the full moon—giving us an opportunity to hone our relating skills, remembering that we are in relationship with all of life. Additionally, these energies offer the opportunity for creating greater balance between our need for personal autonomy (Aries/Mars) with the equally valid need for meaningful relationship with others (Venus/Libra).

Mars in Scorpio ensures that whatever unloving patterns are hiding in the shadows of the subconscious will be brought to the light to be healed and released. It may come to your attention that we are only able to accept love to the degree that we feel we deserve it. These energies provide an awesome opportunity to know how truly deserving each and every one of us is!

Venus in Leo is eager to connect and collaborate with playmates and engage creative expression so everyone feels lit up and loved. The good life is all about being in a good feeling place. “Loving is a power as well as a process. Love is creative. It’s curative.” ~Zona Gale

If you’ve been feeling like there’s been an “energy flu” pandemic going around, you’ll be happy to learn that tension eases off after sunset tonight (here in the northern hemisphere) as Venus engages a salsa with Jupiter and the Moon illuminates into our awareness the gems of wisdom that Mercury gained from its contact with Uranus and Pluto today:
1) That your life is happening for a reason.
2) That nothing is accidental.
3) That “authentic power is about allowing it all and experiencing the pain, the fear and every emotion while consciously recognizing that you can choose either a loving or fearful respond to whatever presents itself in your experience. While fear speaks the language of dichotomy, blame and judgment, love speaks the language of unity, innocence and preferences.” (Gary Zukav)

How liberating to know that emotional pain is just an opportunity to choose to be in authentic power—it doesn’t have to control us!

Well, needless to say, Jupiter and Venus are sassy happy to have the gift of this wisdom and playfully embrace differences while they sing their own song and joyfully dance the night away in celebration of being alive. Wheeee!

To honor the cosmic impetus encouraging us to go deep to get to core truths (provided by the Uranus-Pluto square and Luna & Mars’ visit to Scorpio), we must be willing to embrace whatever we believe to be a problem—that’s the Scorpio way—confront it directly. In support of that process, Derek Rydall provides a delightful analogy. If a seed used the typical human self-improvement approach, it would try to use positive affirmations and prayer to remove a threatening forest fire. That’s because the seed doesn’t realize that it actually needs that forest fire to crack open its shell so it can germinate and bloom. This analogy provides an illuminating new perspective on problems: that our crisis are actually an evolutionary impetus. In a sense, we are enduring a collective forest fire and seeking ways to put the fire out when the “fire” is exactly what we need, both personally and collectively, to evolve and grow. When we embrace the problems that present themselves, instead of denying them or trying to find ways to make them go away, if we just allow and view them as an incentive to bring forth more of our magnificent being in totality, the inspired solutions present themselves as well. Derek reminds us that “The distance between where you are and where you want to be in your life is not one of time and space. It’s one of frequency. Your wholeness is already here now.” If we focus on fixing a “self” that’s not really broken, (how could it be? Only thinking could make it so…) we shut down the voice of our Spirit and this gives rise to the very resistance that prevents our natural totality of wellbeing from emerging.

A new moon in Virgo this evening, 8:11pm MDT. This afternoon, at the darkest moon, is an excellent time for releasing Virgo shadows like self-degradation, worry and critical tendencies. This release will make room for whatever you are eager to bring into your experience. Discriminating Virgo’s strength is its awareness that the best way to be of support to others is by seeing the best in them. More than any other sign, Virgo celebrates the perfection in imperfection. Happiest new moon wishes!

It’s time to get your “Om” on! The Moon is void-of-course in Cancer from 3:59—9:01 pm MDT. The transiting Moon represents the emotional tone of each day. In addition, energetically, the Moon is associated with our instincts, intuition, and 6th sense.

When the Moon is Void of Course (VOC), it’s like her instincts are on hold. Therefore, people that are highly sensitive to the Moon’s energy (that is, there is an emphasis on the Moon, the sign Cancer or the element Water in the natal, progressed or return charts) may even feel scattered, vague, undirected, or “spacey” when the Moon is Void of Course. At a practical level, plans or decisions made while the Moon is VOC may not work out. Without the instinctual “knowing” the Moon provides as she touches each planet, we can be ungrounded, unrealistic or lacking in good judgment. For this reason, actions initiated during this time can be misguided, irrelevant, or lacking sound grounding.

When the Moon is VOC it is best to stick with things we do routinely. Use the Moon’s VOC period as a time to meditate, relax, read, write, ponder, enjoy friends or to just to get in touch with your feeling and intuitive nature. Further, it is an excellent time to reflect on the things that have occurred over the previous few days that the Moon has been moving through the sign it’s in (Cancer in this instance). With the Moon’s void-of-course in the sensitive, water sign, Cancer, it’s an excellent time to express your gratitude for all the life-affirming, life-enhancing people and situations in your life. Let your dear one’s know just how very much you love and appreciate them!

This Friday, August 31, the full moon at 7:58am MDT is referred to as a Blue Moon, not because it will be blue (that only happens when there is smoke or dust particles in the atmosphere) but because it’s the second full moon occurring this month. Most years have twelve full moons, one full moon each month. Yet, each solar calendar year contains more days than the lunar year of 12 lunations. The extra days accumulate, so that about every 2 3/4 years there is an extra full moon in the same month. That might be why “blue moon” is also used to express a rare event, such as in the phrase “once in a blue moon.”

The full moon corresponds to a time of culmination, when things come to a head and we have clarity about things we may have been clueless about before. It can be a time of fruition or when our efforts “bear fruit” or we experience those wonderful “Ah ha!” moments we all relish. And as many of us have experienced, the full moon also tends to be a time of heightened emotions. This is because at the full moon, the Sun’s light is being reflected by the Moon, symbolizing an opportunity to gain deeper insights into the gap which exists between our conscious intentions and our subconscious beliefs and habits. Emotions are heightened because they having something important to tell us.

This emphasis on becoming more aware of subtle influences will be especially highlighted with this full moon in Pisces, the sign symbolizing oneness consciousness. The cosmos are providing us with a fabulous opportunity to gain deeper insights into how our subconscious fears, guilt, and judgments often sabotage our conscious creative intentions. Neuroscientists assert that for most of us, our brains are running on subconscious auto-pilot 95% of the time. Sheesh. Well, life’s getting very interesting and you’ll miss out on a lot of fun if you’re running on auto-pilot.

Stretching and Adventuring
We are living at perhaps the most profound time in human history, a time in which the whole of humanity is undergoing a collective transformation into quantum reality—We are being catapulted into several new ways of experiencing life, all simultaneously. For example, we are rapidly shifting from a “matter-based” society to one completely steeped in “energy consciousness”, from energy technology to energy medicine to energy fuel.~ Carolyn Myss

If you’ve been feeling that the energy has been wacky, weird and wired, YAY! It’s a good sign that you are awake. You want to be awake so you don’t miss all the fun! This last quarter of 2012 we truly have the awesome potential to recreate our experience of what it means to be human. And I assure you, the cosmos are giving their best to shake you awake so that the eternal spark of Light that animates your physical being is guiding you. This will ensure that you embrace the joy of experiencing yourself as the magnificent creator that you are. Because that YOU knows no order of difficulty in getting anything done. But the “you” that operates on auto-pilot and believes it’s in charge and separated, all alone, on its own, motivated by hopelessness, resignation, blame, guilt or a sense of powerlessness and believes it is only a helpless body that must endure suffering upon suffering until it dies, is running the show 95% of the time. Ouch.

The important point is this: to be able at any moment to sacrifice what we are for what we could become.~ Charles Dubois

This blue moon is creatively activating the connection between the Great Awakener Uranus and Regenerating Pluto, providing you with an opportunity to witness what’s surfacing in your life so that it can be healed and cleared. This includes hidden parts of yourself such as judgments and repressed emotions that need to be acknowledged so they can be released. The possibility for awakening to your true nature and living from the totality of your multidimensional self is coming to greet you and you want to welcome it with open arms.

You are Your Own Authority
The most important thing that you can do now is develop a relationship with your Inner Authority, however you refer to it—God, your inner voice, your soul, your spirit, your intuition—it’s that eternal YOU that animates your body and knows exactly why you are here taking this human journey. We are all needed now. We all have an integral role to play. That which takes place “out there” is not controllable or predictable now; that’s why things feel so chaotic. But each and every one of us is contributing to what is taking place. To fulfill your unique role, you must follow your own authority. Talk to your Inner Authority each day, just like you’d talk to a trusted confidant that loves you just because. It loves you without judgment, punishment, criticism, blame or rejection. Make sure you give yourself this “Conversations with God” time each and every day, (best times are right after waking up or just before falling asleep, because the sabotaging ego is not fully awake in the morning and often too tired to interfere at bedtime).

Asking questions is one great way to engage your Inner Authority. Here’s some suggestions to get you started: “Do I have resources, talents, or skills available to me that I’m not using?” or, “What would I do if I was unafraid?” or, “What step can I take now to improve my situation that is within my control to take?” or “Are there things about myself that I hide from others because I am ashamed of them?”

Engaging Zen moments or mindfulness is another excellent way to engage your Inner Authority—that is, moments of being alert in non-judgmental attentiveness to your own thoughts, actions and feelings. Zen moments put us in touch with that presence within us that abides— unchanging and undisturbed—no matter what is going on around us. This welcomes a state of being that brings a quality of love and light and meaningfulness and purpose to all that you do.

We are discovering that the ultimate in human experience comes from living fully awake while fully engaged in whatever experience life has placed before us.That way, we consciously choose who we are in relationship to whatever is before us. That’s the fun of it—to be awake, to come off auto-pilot. Then, for example, when something irritates, you can observe, “I’m having an experience of irritation. Interesting how my abdominal muscles are so tight and my breath is shallow. Hmmm, why does it irritate me so that she chews her food that way? I wonder where does that comes from?” And suddenly, the floodgates of the subconscious patterns open and you see it all clearly. When you were five years old your mother yelled at you for chewing too loudly. That devastated your five year old but the adult you can heal that five year old now.

Following are the Daily Requirements I published in the June newsletter. I share them again because using them will support you in staying awake:
1) Smile at least once every hour, even if you can’t think of a reason to do so, smile anyway. Consciously begin and end each day on a smile. Smiling releases the happy hormone. Pass on smiles everywhere you go. Smile at the sun and the flowers and the birds and bees. Smile even when your heart is breaking. As Nat King Cole sings, Light up your face with gladness.
2) Practice acts of kindness to yourself—at least one act of kindness each day. Find ways to express your deep, abiding, unconditional love for your perfectly imperfect self! If you hear your mind being critical of your self (or another), immediately correct it and express your unconditional love for your perfectly, imperfect self.
3) Practice conscious breathing. At least three times a day pause and bring your attention to your breath. Still-look-listen-breathe. Breath is the bridge between the conscious and unconscious—no toll required, air is free! As Wayne Muller reminds us, With every breath, the possibility of a new aspect of self arises.
4) Laugh at least five times a day. Tickle yourself if you must to induce the giggles. This releases a torrent of happy hormones! You can be the initiator of an epidemic of laughter for all your dear ones.
5) Try on a new behavior each and every day and establish new, good-feeling habits to replace the old habits that don’t feel good. Sing crazy love songs that make you feel good. Try dance walking in public places and invite others to join you. Make funny faces at yourself in the mirror when you find yourself taking life too seriously.
6) Be bold about having fun! Be bold about celebrating life everywhere you go!

Do you feel it? Times they are a changing and that’s cause for celebration! I hope you are feeling that too. We are having direct experiences of the truth that we are greater than the conditions in our environment. We need only change our inner state for our outer conditions to line up and match. It’s no longer enough to know; we are all being challenged to walk our talk. I’m here to support you in any way that best serves you now. If you find yourself in need of an uplift or reality check on the cosmic weather, visit my daily posts on Facebook and Twitter—you can read the posts even if you aren’t on Facebook or Twitter.

All the dragons in our lives are princesses who are only waiting to see us act on behalf of something helpless that wants our love. —R.M. Rilke

Bold & brazen Mars left harmonizing Libra and moved into the deep, penetrating realms of Scorpio, where its energy is focused on navigating the realms of experience that give rise to intense emotions. As Mars visits the dark & murky waters of Scorpio for the next 6 weeks, you are having a shamanic journey to purge yourself of whatever gets in the way of your stepping into your authentic power. (The house in your birth chart with Scorpio on the cusp will let you know what arena of life experience this impacts for you.)

Gary Zukav defines authentic power as being able to feel whatever we are feeling in the moment without being controlled by it and being able to choose a loving response over a fearful one in the process. Like a shaman, Mars in Scorpio is oriented to strip away every comforting lie and phony half truth to step into its authentic power. So, now’s the time to harness Mars’ moxie, focus and courage and embrace this opportunity. We were all born to fully experience and then challenge our frightened self—all those dis-empowering beliefs and emotions—to recognize those parts of self that arise in fear, anger, helplessness, etc while not allowing them to control our actions.

We have a little extra boost to encourage us today. The Moon is void-of-course in cataclysmic, regenerating Scorpio until 4:50am tomorrow, August 24. This provides an excellent opportunity to observe the ebbing and flowing of our emotions and to identify where we have given our power away AND welcome it back. Be gentle with your observations. We’ve all had what Dickens described as the “best of times and the worst of times” and most of us get such in balanced proportions. But if these past few months have been more hell than heaven for you, today is a good day to welcome back those parts of yourself that have gotten lost in hell.

This is a great opportunity to do what Oprah describes as “turning your wounds to wisdom.” And Marianne Williamson suggests a means: “Whoever we feel hurt us is actually standing in front of us asking for love. Their behavior is not where they’re bad but where they’re wounded, and the only way out of our pain is to bless them and appreciate them for what they did right.” Choose to respond to the wounded in yourself and others with love. “Love is an expression of power. We can use it to transform our world.” Ericka Huggins

Update on Recent Solar Activity—The activity is relativity quiet on the earth side of the sun, with only c-class solar flares taking place. However, spaceweather.com reported that on the farside of the sun, “a coronal mass ejection (CME) blasted away from the sun this morning with rare speed: 2930 km/s or 6.5 million mph. CMEs moving this fast occur only once every ~5 to 10 years. The Solar and Heliospheric Observatory recorded the cloud’s emergence on July 23rd starting around 0300 UT (July 22, 9pm MDT). The source of the CME was sunspot AR1520, which sparked many bright auroras earlier this montth when it was on the Earthside of the sun. Now, however, the active region is transiting the sun’s farside so this blast was not geoeffective. One can only imagine the geomagnetic storms such a fast CME could produce if it were heading our way. “

Good Vibrations

Let me begin by asking you to sing along with the Beach Boys… Good, good, good vibrations, I’m picking up good vibrations, good, good, good—good vibrations! YES! Tap into that vibe because that is the spirit I wish to invoke.

These aren’t times that try our souls. These are the times that set them free! ~
Melody Beattie

The universe is so eager to dance with us. And it really is as simple as face the music and dance! That’s the caveat—we have to face all the music to really enjoy the dance. We must accept that things are exactly as they are (or aren’t). It is just where we find ourselves. Wherever we find ourselves is just exactly where we must begin. And that’s not meant to sound like a downer at all. There are solutions to every problem, even easy solutions! It’s just that to be open to them we must get out of the box.

The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. ~Albert Einstein

Many of us can look at some situation in our life and say, A lot goes on but nothing happens…This is a sign that we must mix it up, get out of the box, even put the box aside entirely and try new things. We must be open to inspiration. At this new moon Mars is cutting in on the Uranus-Pluto tango and destabilizing that dance. Mars creates a t-square with Uranus and Pluto. The t-quare is like a table missing one of its legs—it’s an unstable influence. The sign that fills in the missing leg is Cancer, where the new moon is located. The message: go deep to the roots and identify what’s life-sustaining and where the heart still beats; then nurture those roots.

Trust me, inspired solutions are possible to whatever the bugaboos might be. Uranus’ participation guarantees that. We just have to be willing to face what we’d rather not, accept it and allow that it is what it is. Pluto advises that the ticket out of hell is to embrace all the demons that live there. Before we can change anything that isn’t to our liking, it must be seen and accepted and embraced first. For example, if you feel a bit lost or confused, just admit that to yourself and accept that. It’s okay! At this new moon is a great time to make a personal declaration of your intentions.

Such a statement of intention might go something like this: I haven’t a clue why what is happening is happening but I do know that it’s leading to something better.
